Cuts For Gabbie A Great Success

On Sunday, August 25th, our cafeteria was converted into a 10-chair barber shop.  Our Master Haircare Instructor, Terex Smalls, and 10 talented and professional barbers from Al's Upper Cuts and Celebrity Status donated their time to cut hair for Richland School District Two students, faculty, staff, and the community.  According to  Mr. Smalls, he and Mr. Keith Middleton wanted to do something for the community that would also support the Swainson family.  The cheerleaders, Beta Club, DECA, and FBLA students worked the entire event, including collecting donations on Hard Scrabble and Summit Parkway roads.  While listening to the sweet sounds of DJ Deer (aka Timothy Myers), our volunteers and customers raised $1,758.50 for the Swainson family.  The money will be used to purchase a marker and bench for Gabbiee at Greenlawn Cementary.  Donations are still being accepted by the PTSO until Friday, August 30th.  We want to thank everyone for making Cuts for Gabbiee a great success.
