The Rigoberta Menchu Chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society inducted five outstanding students on April 29th. Congratulations to Kathleen Arevalo, Chandler Bailey, Tianna Myers, Natalia Navarro and Asha Simmons. Also, congratulations to Sra. Bucheli for sponsoring and organizing the event.
Additionally, members of this society recently excelled on the National Spanish Examination, which is a rigorous test in which students demonstrate fluency and knowledge of the language and culture. Daniel Murray earned a Gold rating. Nissy Abraham, Chandler Bailey, Michael Halbrook, and Sherman Jones earned Silver while Kathleen Arevalo earned a Bronze. Honorable Mention status was awarded to Justin Gordon, Aaliyah Harrell, Anel Khasiyetova, Tianna Myers, Natalia Navarro and Asha Simmons. Way to go Blazers!
