One person's "becoming" can cause others to become. 5 years ago a student by the name of Brian Sturden, who was full of childish immaturity, glowed a beaming light of promise. That promise was not fully realized until the dawn of his senior year. He desired to make a difference at Ridge View, beginning with the change he would make in himself. He began to wear a shirt and tie each day, and inspired other male students to do the same. Wanting to do, he commissioned Mr. Patterson and Mr. Bonaparte to act in the capacity of sponsors for the group, now known as the S.M.O.O.T.H. (Serious Men Operating On Purpose Through Honor) movement. The goal of this movement is to embrace young men from varying backgrounds and aid them on their path to becoming men through meaningful engagements with successful men from our community.
