The RVHS Public Health team will be competing at the S.C. HOSA State Leadership Conference on March 11-13th. The team consists of Blazer students Kayla Reeves, Justin Turrentine, Sara Puryear, Nazuri Jenkins, Whitney Napper and Prestion Williams. These students will be concentrating on public awareness of Second Hand Stress. They chose this topic based on the number of families that are affected daily by this illness. Whith Ridge View claiming one of the highest percentages of military children in the district at approximately 40%, these young people want to create an opportunity for change. They will be presenting to Ms. Fennell's AP Psychology class on March 6th, and also plan to present to as many venues as possible. They have created teal bracelets and T-shirts for public awareness.
