Blazers Participate in Beautillion XIV

Six Blazers participated in Beautillion XIV Grand Finale at the Brooklyn Banquet and Conference Center on March 28th.  The event was hosted by the South Carolina Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. The Beautillion marked the culmination of an eight month program which consisted of a series of supplemental educational workshops to enhance the school curriculum of young men in their junior and senior year in high school. Senior Juan Andrews was escorted by junior Kaci Merriwether-Hawkins while senior Shareef Milligan was escorted by senior Alisha Georgetown. Also representing RV was Chasity Blume who escorted Brannon Goddard of Keenan H.S., and junior Maya Miller who escorted Tre'Anthony Jenkins of Dutch Fork H.S. The programme included an introduction each Beau, his Belle, and his parents followed by a Mothers' and Beaux Waltz, a Belles and Beaux Waltz, and an unforgettable Tuxedo Dance performed by the Beaux with top hats and canes. The evening ended with dinner, dancing, and lots of photographs. The grande affair was proof that Blazers are everywhere.
