Brian Rosefield has been named Ridge View's new Athletic Director. "I am thrilled to have Brian as the Athletic Director, said Principal Dr. Brenda Mack-Foxworth. "I am equally excited about seeing his vision of success and the endless possibilities of "what can be" become a realty for the Athletic Department." Coach Rosefield became a Blazer in 2006 joining the school as the Career Prep Job Coach assisting students with job placements, job shadowing, internships and community service opportunities. Since that time, he has also served in a variety of capacities in the Athletic Department including head coach of the Boys Cross Country team (9 seasons), Girls Cross Country (4 seasons), JV Boys Basketball (9 seasons), Boys Track & Field (3 seasons), & Boys Golf (3 seasons). Coach Rosefield also served as an assistant coach for the Varsity Boys Basketball (9 seasons), Director of the Bojangles' Bash (2 years), & P.A. Announcer for football games. He came to RVHS after serving 2 years as a graduate assistant under Coach Dave Odom for Mens Basketball at USC when the Gamecocks were NIT Champions in 2005. Prior to his stint at USC, Coach Rosefield was a Social Studies teacher, and coached Basketball, Golf & Volleyball at Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews, SC.
