Today's post is about The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman. Because it was to emotional for him to write about his father's experience in the Holocaust, the author wrote this book as a graphic novel with the Nazi's as cats & the Jews as mice. It tells the story of Vladek Spiegelman, a Jewish survivor of Hitler's Europe. This astonishing retelling our century's grisliest news is a story of survival, not only of Vladek, but of the children who survive even the survivors. This book has 300 pages and contains violence.
