Out of 1.5 million students around the nation who take the PSAT, Ridge View High School Senior Chandler Bailey is one of the 15,000 students to be recognized as a National Merit Finalist. Bailey is a Biohealth Magnet student, who will attend Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University to major in Horticulture with a minor in Spanish. He started the RV Green Student Committee and peer tutors students in Chemistry and Spanish.
The next step in this National Merit Scholarship process is naming the Merit Scholars designees, which are chosen from the Finalist group. NMSC judges will review Chandler's academic record, test scores, written recommendation, activities and leadership, and essay to make a final decision. We are wishing Chandler the best of luck in hopes that he will be named a National Merit Scholar in May.
