Blazer Junior Damani Staley (6-2, 215 lbs.) recently committed to play football for the University of South Carolina. Staley, a defensive end at RVHS, projects to play linebacker at the next level. Staley led the Midlands area with 21 sacks last season. According to Blazer Head Coach Perry Parks, "He will be a good fit for them and he wanted to be the first defensive player to commit in the (2017) class. It was his dream school from the start."
