The Debutantes of the Upsilon Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Scholarship and Cotillion Program ended their season of community service with a shoe box project in support of Sistercare, an organization whose mission is to provide services to and advocate for domestic violence survivors and their children, and to promote prevention of domestic violence through community awareness and training. The debs filled and decorated boxes of varying sizes with generous amounts of items listed on the organization’s “Wish List”.Baby products, personal items, books, games, domestic items, etc. were among the donations included in support of this organization that serves approximately 7,000 survivors of domestic violence each year. The debutantes included Ridge View's KiYona McClary, Faith McKie, Kaci Merriwether-Hawkins and Ronteona Willis.
