Blazer Senior Sauntavia Parker was honored along with other high school seniors in the state on May 24th at a special ceremony led by Dr. Molly Spearman, State Superintendent of Education. Dr. Spearman has launched a program that consists of red, white, and blue honor cords given to seniors who are enlisting in the military upon graduation, joining ROTC in college or attending a military academy. The cords are provided by the state and authorized to wear at all statewide. Parker will serve as a Human Resources Specialist in the Army Reserves while attending Winthrop University.
