This free camp is
open to rising 6th-12th graders who have an interest in entrepreneurship,
business and finance. Participants will be encouraged to build upon their own
strengths, interests and talents through engaging hands-on learning, including:
- Performing market research
- Learning about the financial decisions that go into pricing and running a business
- Understanding the importance of philanthropy
- Learning business etiquette and presentation
- How to market your business or product
- Hear from real local entrepreneurs about their own experiences running a business
The five day camp will culminate
with the students presenting their original business plans to a panel of
judges. Cash prizes will be awarded. Space is very limited. Students have a choice of attending one of three sessions: July 11 - 15 at Benedict College; July 18 - 22 at Benedict College; or July 25 - 29 at Midlands Technical College - Airport Campus. All sessions will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. The deadline for registration is Friday, June 24th or until the camp is
