Our Cross Country team competed in the Bob Jenkins Coaches Classic last weekend at Sandhills Research Center. This is the largest meet in the state of South Carolina. The boys team placed 7th overall in the Championship Division out of 58 teams. The boys were led by Senior Justin Rose who placed 19th in a time of 17:53 for the 5,000 meter course. He was followed by Junior Brandon Jackson (24th/18:01), Senior Jordan Hollis (84th/18:53), Freshmen Logan Zeis (9th/19:01), and Sophomore Dayton Copeland (15th/19:38).
The girls team placed 45th overall and was led by senior captain Megan Reardon (26:11), who was followed by seniors Mya Ray (26:19), captain Jasmine Sampson (26:36), Laurel Fite (27:01), Ayanna Head (27:33), and Mikayla Thomas (30:24). Both teams will be back in action today at the Zaxby's Invitational hosted by Southside High School in Greenville.
