Winter Wishes is our annual fall school-wide service learning project benefiting local charities such as Harvest Hope Food Bank (goal: 10,000 canned goods), Richland County Foster Children (goal: sponsor 60 foster children) & Sistercare (goal: 500 toiletry items). It will take place from November 7th through December 7th. Our theme this year is Wish Upon a Star...Where All Our Dreams Come True! More information will be forthcoming, but here is a schedule of events.
- November 7: Kick Off visit to 1st Period Classrooms
- November 7: Door Decorating Contest Begins
- November 10: Canned Food Sculpture Contest in the Main Hall from 4-7 pm
- November 11: Zumbathon in the Gym from 6-8 pm (open to the public; cost is $10)
- November 12: Winter Semi-Formal in the Cafeteria Rotunda from 7-11 pm
- November 13: Zumbathon in the large gym from 6-8 pm
- November 15: Ci Ci's Pizza Night from 5:30-9 pm
- November 17: Giving Bowl 5:30-7 pm (Soup N' Sweat dinner open to the public; cost $10 at the door which includes 2 bowls of soup (or 6 samples) and 2 dessert samples)
- November 28: Pajama Dress Day
- November 29: Moe's Night from 6-9 pm
- November 30: Tacky Sweater & Sock Dress Day
- December 1: Foster Child Party in the Cafeteria from 6-7:30 pm (We are looking for sponsors for 60 children)
- December 2: Winter White Dress Day
- December 5: Last day for toiletry donations for Sistercare
- December 6: Last day for Harvest Hope canned food donations
- December 7: Winter Wishes Assembly in the Large Gym at 9:30-11:00 am
