Richland District Two held their Apprenticeship Signing Day for two students selected to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program. The event took place on Wednesday, August 29 at 9 a.m. at RAM Clutches, located at 201 Business Park Blvd. in Columbia. They are a local manufacturer of race car clutches and the district's first Youth Apprenticeship program partner. Junior Logan Zeis not only received invaluable work experience at RAM Clutches this summer, but he also got paid. While in the Youth Apprenticeship Program, Zeis will receive education pertaining to the job, work approximately 2000 hours for the next two years, and receive wages that will increase to reflect his experience and expertise while at RAM Clutches. Richland Two is the first and only school district in the Midlands to provide this valuable opportunity to its students. We are super proud of Logan for being selected.
