Summer Volunteer Opportunity at Columbia VA

The Columbia VA Health Care System Voluntary Service is accepting applications from students ages 13–17 years old to volunteer at Dorn VA Medical Center at the main campus in Columbia and their community-based outpatient clinic in Greenville, SC. This year they have 60 openings for students who submitted completed applications. The selection process is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  

Summer Program Dates: June 8 - August 6

Orientation: June 8th

Makeup Orientation: June 15

Requirements:

1. Only completed applications will be accepted
2. Only signatures written in ink will be accepted (print, sign, & return by email)
3. Only electronic submissions will be accepted 
4. All completed applications must be sent to vhacmsvoluntaryservices@va.gov
5. Attending orientation is mandatory if you are selected to be a student volunteer
6. Participate in a minimum of 120 volunteer hours out of a total of 196 hours
