Blazer Battalion Conquers the Competition at Meet

The Blazer Battalion Drill and Rifle teams competed in a league drill and rifle meet this past weekend at Blythewood H.S. against fourteen other schools. The Drill team demonstrated what being a Blazer is all about with a 1st Place in Platoon Basic without Arms, and a 3rd Place in Squad Basic with Arms.

The Rifle team kept up their recent string of success by sweeping 1st Place trophies in Team Standing Position, Team Kneeling Position, Team Prone Position, and Overall Rifle Match Champion.

Individually, the Blazers were awarded nine total medals in the following areas:

• Justin Turrentine: 1st Place Individual Standing Position
• Tatiana LeGrand: 1st Place Individual Overall, Team Top Shooter, 2nd Place Individual Prone Position, 2nd Place Individual Standing Position
• Joseph Rivers: 3rd Place Individual Kneeling Position, and 3rd Place Individual Standing Position
