Master Hair Care Specialist Program Parent Information Meeting

There will be a parent information meeting regarding our Master Hair Care Specialist Program for those students that completed an application to the program. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 5th at 6:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room on M-Wing. Parents should use the school entrance next to the tennis courts and park in B-Lot behind the school. There will be several students available to escort you to the Multipurpose Room. Mr. Terex Smalls, Master Hair Care Instructor, will discuss the Master Hair Care Program requirements and curriculum. A letter regarding this meeting will be mailed home, and one will be given to the students applying for the program on Monday, October 28th.

The Master Hair Care Specialist Program is designed to prepare students to become registered barbers or master hair care specialists. Students will perform techniques and arts such as hair cutting and styling, facial treatments, trimming and shaving of facial hair, chemical hair relaxing, tinting, coloring, shampooing, and rinsing. Upon completion of the 1,500 course hours, students will be eligible to take the state board exam to receive a license.

We sincerely look forward to meeting you on the evening of Tuesday, November 5th. If you have any questions regarding the content of this letter, please contact Dr. Marlon Thomas, Assistant Principal at (803) 6999-2999 ext. 224
