ACADEMIC Focus: What Do I Need To Get Promoted?

Grade classification and advisory assignments are based on the following:

  • 9th grade: Promotion from the 8th grade
  • 10th grade: 5 units to include 1 English credit and 1 Mathematics credit
  • 11th grade: 12 units to include 2 English and 2 Mathematics credits
  • 12th grade: 18 units to include 3 English and 3 Mathematics credits
No more than 2.5 units may be applied for any one summer school period.  No more than 1 course in English or Mathematics (new or review) may be taken during a regular school year without authorization from the principal.
