This is Angela Jones, President of the RVHS Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO). We're excited about another great school year; and I would like to personally welcome both our returning and new parents.
One of our primary goals is to facilitate parental participation in RVHS. In order to accomplish this goal we invite you to attend our monthly meetings, usually held on the first Monday of each month at 6 pm in the RVHS Media Center. Attending these meetings is a great way to find out what is happening at Ridge View, get involved with PTSO special events and fundraisers, meet other involved parents, and enrich your student's educational experience. With your help and support, we are looking forward to an amazing 2014-2015 school year.
I also want to remind you that annual PTSO membership dues are only $5, and can be paid by cash, check, or money order made payable to Ridge View High School PTSO. And, one final note, please stay for the School Improvement Council (SIC) meeting immediately following the PTSO meeting. That meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm, and will feature Richland School District Two School Board Trustee James Manning as our special guest.
