Fennell Named Teacher of the Year

Ms. Paige Fennell has been named Ridge View's Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year. According to Principal Dr. Brenda Mack-Foxworth, "Ms. Fennell is a to notch quality teacher who is able to stretch and motivate her students on a daily basis. Her enthusiasm and commitment to ensure that our youth are successfully prepared for life beyond the walls of Ridge View High is awe inspiring." 

Ms. Fennell is a Social Studies teacher specializing in AP Psychology and U.S. History. Aside from teaching, she is also an active member of the school community. When voting for Ms. Fennell one colleague stated that she, "goes above and beyond in her commitment to students and she always does so with great enthusiasm." She is one of the organizers of the Black History Month Assembly, and a co-sponsor of the Blaze Defined Step Team and the National Beta Club. Her efforts with the National Beta Club include the Rebel Against... activities/fundraisers, the Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, and Club B.E.T.A. fundraising events. 

Fennell has been teaching at Ridge View for five years after graduating with a Master's degree from the University of South Carolina, and is a product of Richland School District Two having graduated from Richland Northeast in 2005. Congratulations Ms. Fennel on this most deserved honor.
