The Ridge View Blazers football team improved to 7-1 on the season with a 27-14 victory over district rival Westwood H.S. The Blazers took a 14-0 lead during the first quarter after QB Jalen Smith scored on a 2 yard run and a Cameron Butler 38 yard reception. The Blazers took a 21-7 lead into halftime after Smith connected on a 11 yard TD pass to WR Cam Napper. The Red Hawks close to within 21-14 in the 3rd Quarter, but Kicker Nick Lawyer kicked two field goals in the final 4 minutes of the 4th Quarter to give the Blazers the win. Running Back Latheron Rogers-Anderson led the Blazers with 148 yards rushing on 21 carries. The Blazers will be back in action next Friday as they travel to Lancaster for a 7:30 pm kickoff.
