The South Carolina DECA 73rd Annual Career Development Conference was held on February 26-28th in North Charleston, SC for a weekend of networking, professional development, and competitions. More than 600 DECA students and advisors were in attendance. Congratulations to Bryce Smith for placing first in the Virtual Business Challenge - Restaurant Round 1, and to Jocelyn Williams for placing 4th in the Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan Event. Devin Holder and Jocelyn Williams were outstanding voting delegates who elected our new State Officers. Mrs. Pat Jackson, Ridge View's DECA Advisor, was appointed to serve another year on the S.C. DECA Board of Directors. Special thanks to Mrs. Naylene Richardson, Career and Technology Education Department Leader, who chaperoned for the trip. The DECA International Career Development Conference will be held on April 23-26th in Nashville, TN. Go Blazers!
